THE RASPUTIN'S DEATH

"The situation was unsustainable.
I, other members of the Imperial family and authorities loyal to our cause, were determined to put an end to Rasputin. Before we thought of giving him a high amount and sending him far away, yet this was not a plan that would work. I was able to get close to Rasputin with my influence and convince him that a fatigue that the doctors could not cure.

He promised to heal me with his divine remedy. The plan was working out, after a while, we agreed to visit my house.
On the appointed day I went to the palace to pick him up by car, when we arrived in the courtyard I could hear my friends singing and listening to music. Rasputin said, "What is this, a party?" I replied that it was only my wife with some guests having fun, but that they would be leaving soon, meanwhile, we would have a cup of tea in the dining room. We descended into the basement, as soon as Rasputin stepped in he removed his coat and began inspecting the furniture with great interest. He was particularly fascinated by the ebony office, so at the fateful moment I made one last attempt to persuade him to leave St. Petersburg. His refusal sealed his fate ...
I offered him wine and tea, but to my disappointment he refused both. I was determined, no matter what, he should not leave the house alive. Shortly afterwards he accepted the tea but refused the potassium cyanide-impregnated cookies (which Dr. Lazovert had placed), said they were very sweet and we talked for a long time, and offered him wine. Before he had sprayed the glasses with the poison. Rasputin drank and talked, but for some reason, the poison was not working, only alcohol, but with a slight effect.
After more than two hours, I was afraid, because the plan was not working, and my friends upstairs were tense, and they made a noise, which caught the attention of my guest. "What's that noise over there?" "It's my wife's friends who must be leaving already, I'll go and see what's happening." I went up to the second floor and found my friends tense, as I was. "He said," The poison is not working. " "Why not?" Said the Grand Duke.

We talked about what to do, Purichkevich, Sukhotin Dr. Earl, Dimitri Pavlovich and myself. I decided that I would act alone, I took Dimitri's weapon and I went down. Rasputin sat, rested his chin on his hands, was not well. When she saw me she got up and looked at me with cold eyes. Standing before me, he hung his head and stared at the crucifix he carried. At that moment I pointed the revolver toward his heart. A shudder took hold of me, and I pulled the trigger, Rasputin gave a wild cry and fell on the rug of bear skin. Her features contracted in a nervous spasm, her hands were closed, her eyes closed and a stain of blood spreading on her silk blouse. Our hearts were full of hope, for we were convinced that we would have saved Russia and the dynasty from ruin and dishonor. We talked about what to do, when it made me want to see the corpse. I went to where Rasputin's body was, grabbed him by the arms and shook violently. He leaned to the side and fell back, I was about to go, when suddenly I noticed a slight tremor in his left eyelid. Suddenly I saw the left eye open ... A few seconds later, his right eyelid began to tremble, and he opened it.

Then I saw the two eyes - the green eyes of a viper - looking at me with an expression of devilish hatred. Her blood froze in her veins. I wanted to run away, to ask for help, but my legs refused to obey me. Suddenly, Rasputin stood up foaming through his mouth, ran after me trying to grab my throat, his hands tapping my shoulders like claws, always calling me by name in a low voice. I tried to get free, but I was powerless. A fierce fight began ... He fell on his back, panting horribly, for a while he lay motionless on the ground. I ran upstairs and called Purichkevich, who was in my study room, shouting, "He's still alive!" At that moment, I heard a noise behind me and ran down the stairs, followed by Purichkevich holding a revolver in his hand, we found Rasputin climbing the basement stairs, trying to escape; He was crawling on his hands and knees, panting and roaring like a wounded animal. He jumped desperately and managed to reach the secret door that led to the courtyard. I thought the door was locked, but to my horror and astonishment, I saw the door open and Rasputin disappear ... Purichkevich rushed his gun into fist behind him, two shots echoed through the night.

The idea that he could escape was intolerable! Then I heard two more shots, I saw Rasputin lying on a snowcap, Purichkevich and I next to him we watched the body for some time, to make sure that this time everything would end. Some of the employees listened to the shots and went out to see what had happened. I moved away from the place and went to get rid of them, when I returned to the body I noticed that it had changed its position. "My God, I thought, can he still be alive?" I ran to the palace, calling Purichkevich, who had disappeared into the house. I told him what I had seen and we went back to where Rasputin was, and there he was inert. My sight began to get blurred, to feel like I might faint, I sat on the ice pack, I felt very sick. At this point, Dmitri, Sukhotin and Dr. Lazovert arrived with a closed car to fetch Rasputin's body. When Purichkevich told them what had happened, they decided to let me rest and go without me. They wrapped the corpse in a piece of heavy linen, shoved it into the car, and drove to Petrovski Island. There, from the top of the bridge, they threw the body into the river. "

Andrew Cook and Richard Cullen's surverys:

According to investigations, Rasputin's assassination occurred because of a large plot of international politics, whose command was submitted to the British secret service, which had already expressed a desire to eliminate Rasputin by publicly expressing his opinion against Russia's participation in the First War. (The First World War brought new contours to the work of Rasputin, already hated by the people and nobles, who accused him of espionage in the service of Germany.)
The autopsy on Rasputin's body found that of the four shots that hit him, the shot Fatal was a weapon used by members of the British secret police.

Re-examining the original autopsy reports, Cullen found that the original explanation for Rasputin's death did not correspond with forensic evidence. He questions one of the main autopsy photos (photo on the side), which shows a bullet wound, located in the center of Rasputin's forehead, which has the characteristics of a professional murder.

The accepted version of Rasputin's death is that of Prince Felix Yussupov. But over the years historians have questioned this version, but failed to come up with credible alternative theories.
In Yusupov's memoir, Cullen noticed the presence of a character named Oswald Rayner - said to be a friend of Yusupov's University of Oxford, who suddenly appears in the book at the time of the murder. The Timewatch team discovered that Oswald Rayner was actually a British Secret Intelligence Service active agent who was working alongside senior SIS official John Scale. Cook, program consultant, discovered an official note on the British Mission Intelligence for Letters to Captain John Scale, which led Cullen directly to the killer.
"I was impressed with the outcome of the investigation," Cook says. "When I first started researching the story, I had no idea that forensic evidence grounded such conclusive historical documentation."
Richard Cullen says of the investigation: "I was amazed that the trail of Rasputin's murder led so conclusively to the British Secret Service." In the official documentation of all John Scale Rasputin is referred to as "forces of darkness" and it is my belief that Rasputin was A visa a real threat to the British. "If he had persuaded Tsar to withdraw from World War I, the Allies would have been crushed on the Western Front by German troops no longer needed to fight the Russians in the East."

With this research, a documentary directed by National Geographic was made. I'm sorry, the documentary is in Portuguese.:
